The Traffic Unit improves traffic safety and reduces traffic collisions in the City of Rancho Cordova in partnership with residents. The Unit focuses on the basic three “E’s” of traffic: education, engineering and enforcement. 

The Unit participates throughout the year with youth events and tours of the Kilgore station, conducts driving under the influence (DUI) and traffic collision training and education for both officers and our community, and proactively patrols throughout the City of Rancho Cordova. The Unit also partners closely with the California Highway Patrol on investigations and traffic collisions.
