Home MenuNeighborhood Watch
Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program designed for neighborhoods in the City of Rancho Cordova. Neighborhood Watch is one of the oldest and most effective crime prevention programs in the country. The goal of the program is to bring neighbors together in partnership with RCPD, and teach them steps to reduce crime and ways to be the eyes and ears of our community.
There are over 100 active Neighborhood Watch groups in our city. When you start a Neighborhood Watch group, you will get to know your neighbors better. When you know the people around you, it becomes easier to spot suspicious people and identify vehicles that are not normally in your neighborhood.
Neighborhood Watch Meetings
Join RCPD at a Neighborhood Watch Meeting to learn about proactive policing programs in our community, ask questions, and meet your Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Officer. The meetings are open to any residents, whether you are a member of an active Neighborhood Watch group or interested in learning how we can partner.
Following are the quarterly Neighborhood Watch meetings scheduled for 2024:
- Tuesday January 23, 2024 6 PM - 7:30 PM, Location: RCPD, 2897 Kilgore Road
