The Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Unit partners with residents, Neighborhood Officers, and the City of Rancho Cordova to strengthen neighborhoods and improve quality of life. The Unit concentrates on long-term public safety issues that affect residents in their day-to-day life, such as a problematic neighbor or local business. 

The Unit and the City’s Code Enforcement Division are partnering to take a proactive approach to identify and halt illegal marijuana grows in the City of Rancho Cordova. Learn more

Along with the above proactive efforts, the Unit builds relationships with residents and businesses at public meetings and assists in assists in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) evaluations, which is a multidisciplinary approach to preventing criminal behavior.
