RCPD uses a community policing model that enables us to create stronger connections with the residents and businesses we serve. This means that each neighborhood in Rancho Cordova has a patrol officer who is responsible for that neighborhood.  Community policing builds upon and strengthens the proactive work of our Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Unit by allowing us to gain a better understanding of the needs of neighborhoods within the City, and offering residents and officers an opportunity to get to know each other.

Neighborhood officers will respond to calls in their designated neighborhood to the extent possible and partner with POP officers to address long-term issues that affect you in your day-to-day life, such as homelessness, a problematic neighbor, regular vehicle traffic to blight, or a local business with suspicious activity to public intoxication.

RCPD has a map that you can use to easily identify and contact your neighborhood officer and POP officer. Click here to visit the map. Simply enter your address, and the officer information will pop up.
