Vehicular Manslaughter Arrest in Rancho Cordova

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2020, officers assigned to the Rancho Cordova Police Department responded to the 10300 block of Georgetown Drive regarding reports of a vehicle that crashed into a residence.

Fire personnel responded and transported two victims, who were inside the residence at the time of the crash, to area hospitals. They are both expected to survive. One victim, an adult female, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 45-year-old Gary Circle from Rancho Cordova. After an investigation, Circle was arrested for vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated among other charges. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.

The identity of the victim in this case will be made available by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification has been made to his next of kin.
