At-Risk Missing Juvenile ***LOCATED***

Tonight, December 22, 2017, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Detectives located Lydia Ramirez in an apartment in north Sacramento County.  Detectives are still investigating but have determined she was not kidnapped and at this time they do not believe sex trafficking was a factor in her disappearance.  Sheriff’s Detectives have been diligently working on this case since Ramirez was reported missing yesterday at 1:30 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating an at-risk missing juvenile who was reported missing from the 8900 block of Elwyn Avenue in the Elverta area of Sacramento County.  Today, 12-year-old Lydia Ramirez was waiting outside her school with other students and a teacher.  When the teacher left, Ramirez jumped a fence and willingly entered an unknown vehicle then left the area with an unknown subject.  Ramirez was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on December 21, 2017.

Ramirez (see attached photo) is described as a Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes.  She is approximately 5’01” tall and 105 pounds.  Ramirez was last seen wearing a striped black, pink and yellow shirt, gray cardigan sweater, blue jeans, white and red glittery high top tennis shoes and had a dark blue backpack with white polka dots.  Ramirez has long hair but the underside portion of her hair is shaved.  She is known to wear glasses but it is unknown if she has them in her possession.

Anyone who may have seen Lydia Ramirez or has knowledge of her whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115.
