Deputy Alex Ladwig is still recovering from his injuries at a local hospital. He had reconstructive surgery last Friday, and is slowly recovering from that. His wife and family have been by his side during this difficult process. Alex remains in good spirits, and is hoping to be released within the next week to continue his long recovery at home. The Sheriff’s Department and the Ladwig Family appreciate the outpouring of support from friends and the community.
“Our lives have changed so much over the past week. We have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions. We have experienced anger and sadness, but mostly hope as Alex continues to recover. We were all touched by those who have reached out to us in spirit and well wishes. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for continuing to reach out to Alex and encourage him to get better. It’s definitely working.”
Though Alex is doing well, considering what he has been through in the past week, we still ask for prayers and privacy. Our only goals right now are to focus on Alex, his health, and getting him home.”
